Families left Iraq not seeing their children

Ashraf City in IraqNCRI – On Wednesday, in a statement in Arabic by a group of 15 people (including two children) before leaving Camp Ashraf, home to the members of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) in Iraq, they bitterly complained about not being able to see their loved ones inside the camp despite a 10 days stop at Ashraf gates on the order of Iraqi National Security Advisor.

"We, a group of men, women and children relatives of Ashraf residents were faced with a statement issued by the office of Iraq's National Security Advisor on February 17, preventing us from visiting our loved ones in the camp. It blamed Ashraf officials for such treatment we received from the Iraqi forces outside the camp. We declare our abhorrence of such sheer lies and inhuman measures imposed on our family members. We call on all international human rights organizations and Iraqi Primer, Mr. Nouri al-Maliki, to take urgent action for solving this human issue," the statement said.
