Daimler pulls out of Iran

NCRI – German carmaker Daimler has become the latest company to join international sanctions by cutting ties with the Iranian regime.

According to Germany’s news agency DPA, Daimler’s CEO has said that subsequent to recent political developments in Iran, the carmaker conducted a critical review of its ties with the Iranian regime, and “as a result we have pulled out of our business with Iran.”

Dieter Zetsche added, “The policy of the current Iranian leadership means that we have to break off our relationship with the country.”

Daimler’s principal concern was the international tensions surrounding the Iranian regime’s nuclear program, according to DPA.
