She told Kuwait-based Al Rai newspaper that a tiny segment of people in Bahrain with links abroad were indulging in rumour-mongering and hiding dangerous political agenda, in the pretext of seeking reforms. She urged all GCC countries to stay united to counter Iran’s threats and plots.
Meanwhile, the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organisation (Alecso) yesterday slammed the irresponsible statements made by the Iranian assistant foreign minister against Bahrain.
The organisation said the statements were “a direct threat to the safety of the people of Bahrain and an unacceptable interference in the internal affairs of a full-fledged Alecso-member country.”
