Bahrain and Sudan announced Monday they are severing diplomatic ties with Iran’s regime, one day after ally Saudi Arabia announced it was cutting ties with Tehran, news agencies reported.

Saudi Arabia went even further Monday by suspending all flights to and from Iran.

The Iranian regime’s diplomats were asked to leave Bahrain, an ally of Saudi Arabia, within 48 hours, the Bahrain News Agency reported. Sudan’s Foreign Ministry said the decision to sever ties with Iran’s regime will take effect immediately.

The United Arab Emirates also said it will downgrade diplomatic ties with Iran’s regime and reduce the number of the Iranian regime’s diplomats in the UAE, the official WAM news agency reported.
