Adrien Zeller, a prominent French political figure dies

Adrien Zeller, President of the Council of French Alsace RegionNCRI – Adrien Zeller, President of the Council of French Alsace Region, a prominent political figure in France, and a supporter of the Iranian Resistance, passed away on Saturday, August 22. He was 69 and died at a hospital in Strasbourg.

The Iranian Resistance’s President-elect, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, sent her condolences for the loss of this honorable and well-known French figure, who she described as a great human being and an unforgettable friend of the Iranian people and Resistance, to the Zeller family, his friends and colleagues, and all the people of France, especially those in Alsace and Strasbourg, as well as the members and supporters of the Iranian Resistance.

The French President, Prime Minister and a number of cabinet ministers sent separate messages praising Adrien Zeller as “a creative and warm person” who used his “energy, potential and intelligence in all spheres.” They deeply regretted the loss of a prominent figure in the ruling UMP party who presided over the Alsace region council for many years. The people of Alsace are grieving over the sudden loss of the popular personality.
