Three students lashed in public in Iran

NCRI – Three Iranian university students have been lashed in public in the city of Shahrekord after bogus accusations of selling and drinking alcoholic beverages, according to a report received.

The three, all studying Management at Shahrekord Azad University, were convicted of charges trumped up by regime officials, classmates said.

The regime has been implementing a new wave of suppressive measures in all universities since December last year.

The three students were lashed on January 22 in a crowded area of the city.

Meanwhile, students are continuing to defy security forces with ongoing protests across Iran, which many demanding the resignations of their deans.

Degrading punishments are systematically used in Iran by the State Security Forces in order to embarrass and humiliate the youth in their neighborhood.
