The castigation of long imprisonments for the worker activists

1

NCRI – The Free Union of Iranian Workers condemned the imposing sentence of long imprisonment against the labor activists. This union stated that these sentences arouse the public’s fury and acrimony against the situation.

The Free Union of Workers said that long-term prison sentences for Jafar Azimzadeh and Shapour Ehsanirad are passed while the indigence and the misery of workers, teachers, and other people increase day by day. On the other hand, the government agencies, military and educational organizations are involved in the frauds of billion dollars and corruption. It is worth noting that the ravages such as 11 million outskirt inhabitants, millions of unemployed, prostitutions, ten thousands of child labors in the streets, alcoholism, drug misuse and dozens of other social problems are spread across the country and they have put an 80 million people of the society to the brink of collapse.

As it turned out, the people such as Jafar Azimzadeh, Shapour Ehsanirad, Mahmoud Salehi, Davoud Razavi, Niknejad, Bohluli, Ali Nejati, Ebrahim Madadi, Reza Shahabi, Behnam Ebrahimzadeh, and dozens of other well-known and unknown union activists are not a threat to the national security but an intimidation to thieves and looters. They are the messengers of security and prosperity for the workers and teachers as well as the toilers of Iran.

The files of Jafar Azimzadeh and Shapour Ehsanirad are exposed to the public opinion and to the eyes of workers across the country and the world. They are the trusted, passionate, and uncompromising representatives of us and the Union. They cry for justice and for the abolished rights of million workers who are dealing with indigence and misery across the country.

The sentences, as well as the repressive measures, have seethed millions of teachers, workers and the toilers with rage. Undoubtedly, the current critical situation will arouse the social movements and turbulences in the future.
