Teenagers sent to their gallows in Iran

Teenagers sent to their gallows in IranNCRI – Two teenage boys who had just turned 18 were taken to be hanged early morning yesterday for a crime they were alleged to have committed when they were under 18.

The regime’s henchmen put the noose around the necks of the two boys who were only identified by their first names, Vahid and Sina, and it was only after pulling up Vahid that the relatives of the person who were reportedly killed by the two boys called for a halt. Sina’s sentence is planned to be carried out in two months.

Execution of individuals for crimes they commit when they are under 18 is forbidden according to Convention on the Rights of the Child and the mullahs’ regime is a signatory to this convention.

Last year, Amnesty International reported eight cases of execution of under 18s. The ongoing barbaric practices by the medieval regime in Iran have been widely condemned by human rights bodies and organizations in recent months which have stepped up since Ahmadinejad’s appointment as mullahs’ president just about a year ago.
