NCRI – Thousands of Iranian-Americans rallied on Monday outside the United Nations in New York to condemn the presence of the Iranian regime’s President Hassan Rouhani at the UN General Assembly and to call on the international community to take action to stop human rights abuses in Iran.

The rally was organized by the Organization of Iranian-American Communities (OIAC).

Speakers at the rally included:

Tom Ridge, former U.S. Homeland Security Secretary and Governor of Pennsylvania
Bill Richardson, former U.S. Ambassador to the UN and U.S. Energy Secretary
Professor Alan Dershowitz, former Harvard Law School professor
Edward Cox, Chairman of the Republican Party of New York
Michael Long, chairman of the Conservative Party of New York State
Jason Weingartner, Director of Republican Party of New York
Delegations of Iranian-American youths, U.S. faith community leaders, Syria’s democratic opposition and supporters of democracy in Yemen.

A message to the rally was read out on behalf of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance.
