NCRI – Iranians living in Canada have held a protest condemning human rights abuses in Iran and calling on the international community to bring the regime’s leaders to justice.

Supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK) held a rally outside the United States embassy in Ottawa on Saturday calling for the regime’s human rights dossier to be referred to the United Nations Security Council for punitive measures.

The protesters pointed out that the UN General Assembly’s Third Committee most recently on Thursday condemned flagrant human rights abuses by the Iranian regime.

The supporters of the PMOI (MEK) also condemned the regime’s appalling treatment of women.

The protesters furthermore declared their solidarity with the victims of the November 13 terrorist attacks in France carried out by Islamic fundamentalists.
