NCRI – The Iranian regime has denied abolishing the medieval punishment of stoning.
Only the way that the barbaric practice is inflicted had been changed, the vice-president of the regime parliament’s judicial commission Hamid-Reza Tabatabaii said.
He told state-run news agency Fars : “The stoning decree has not been omitted from the new punishment law. There have just been some changes in its method of practice and one of the Guardian Council’s amendments relates to this.
“The Guardian Council has stated that stoning must remain a legal punishment, and only that its method of execution must only change.”
