NCRI – Seven more prisoners were hanged this week by the fundamentalist regime in Iran, including at least two cases in public.

Five prisoners were hanged at dawn on Wednesday in the notorious Gohardasht Prison (Rajaishahr Prison) in Karaj, north-west of Tehran, the state-run newspaper Javan wrote.

Another two men were hanged in public on Tuesday in the city of Zanjan, north-west Iran.

A statement by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein on August 5 said: “Iran has reportedly executed more than 600 individuals so far this year. Last year, at least 753 people were executed in the country.”
