According to various reports from various prisons throughout Iran, namely through eyewitnesses, relatives of the prisoners, or internal reports of the Iranian regime obtained by the network of the People’s Mojahedeen Organization of Iran. Inside the country, an alarming number of prisoners in Iran have been infected by the corner virus in prisons like Evin Prison and Fashafoye prison in the greater Tehran prison.

These are documents from the National Emergency Organization of Iran, which have been up thing by the network of the People’s Mojahedeen inside the country.

Clearly show that both prisoners and orison guards have been infected by coronavirus and it’s a growing threat to their life. The regime has prevented providing any help to the prisoners, even the most basic needs, like masks or disinfectants. The situation is so severe that, according to eyewitness reports, in at least eight prisons throughout Iran, the prisoners have rebelled against the situation and against the spirit of coronavirus in the prisons. At least six prisons. The regime and IRGC have shot prisoners to death as a result.

Dozens of prisoners have been killed and hundreds been wounded. So, as Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the president elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, has underscored on several occasions, the international community, in particular United Nations, should send a fact finding mission into Iran to investigate the situation of prisoners, particularly political prisoners. Also to visit the sick and to pressure the Iranian regime to release prisoners, in particular, political prisoners. The situation of prisoners in Iran, in particular political prisoners in face of coronavirus is a time bomb.
