NCRI – Iran regime on Tuesday hanged a man in the northern city of Gonbad Kavoos, the state run broadcasting company’s website reported.

The prisoner, identified as Abdollah A., was hanged in the city’s prison.

Amnesty International said on Monday in its annual report that the Iranian regime had executed at least 317 people during the year 2007. Many of the executions were carried out in public.

According to the figures from Amnesty International’s yearly statistics, at least 1,252 people were executed in 24 countries worldwide. More than a quarter of all known executions in the world were carried out by the regime in Iran.
