Political prisoners’ lawyer arrested in Iran

Nasrin SotodehNCRI – The Iranian regime has arrested Nasrin Sotoudeh, an attorney who represented a number of political prisoners in Iran, charging her with “colluding against the establishment’s security.”

According to Nasim Ghanavi, Ms. Sotoudeh’s lawyer, the regime’s judicial authorities have said that she will remain in detention until further notice.

On Saturday, August 29, the Iranian regime’s agents from the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) raided the office and residence of Ms. Sotoudeh, confiscating her personal belongings and documents. They also threatened her family.
