Members of Bahrain Parliament condemn attack on Camp Liberty

Arabic language daily Al-Watan(Bahrain), February 12, 2013 – Members of Bahrain Parliament condemned the barbaric missile attack by the Iranian regime and its mercenaries in Iraq against Camp Liberty that caused the death and injuries to more than 100 camp residents.

The parliamentarians expressed their disgust at the Maliki government in Iraq for its compliancy. The camp was attacked by 107 millimeter missiles. The Iraq government had taken responsibility for the camp safety.  The Iranian refugees who previously resided in Camp Ashraf are living in the camp.

The parliamentarian statement, sponsored by Abdolhakim Al-Shemari and a number of other parliamentarians, accused the Iranian government and its agents in Iraq for the massacre and demanded worldwide condemnation. The parliamentarian statement also called on the UN and human rights organizations to investigate the massacre.
