Iraqi parliament did not approve Muwaffaq al-Rubaie’s budget for 2009

NCRI – The Arabic language television station, Alsharqiya, broadcast in Iraq said on Friday that the country's parliament approved the 2009 fiscal year's budget.

The parliament cut next year's budget by $4.2 billion before approving it. The parliamentary sources told Alshaqiya that the legislative body agreed to a 5 trillion Dinar cutback or 7 percent.

Iraq's budget with the new reduction will be $58.6 billion for 2009 fiscal year. The bill also calls on the government to dismiss government related bodies with no legal status until the end of May. On the top of the list is Mr.  Muwaffaq al-Rubaie's job as Iraqi National Security Advisor, Alshaqiya said.
