Iranian Resistance protests abhorrent condition of Iranian refugees in refugee camps in Germany

ncri-statement-400

The representative office of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) in Germany expresses its solidarity and deep sympathy with the family of Hossein Rahimi, the 16-year-old Iranian refugee who committed suicide on 19 April 2016 because of the deplorable living conditions of refugees in the city of Erlangen, southern Germany. The Iranian Resistance calls on the German government to look into the condition of Iranian refugees who have escaped the hellish conditions created by the religious fascism ruling Iran and not to allow the refugees’ pain and suffering to continue in exile as well.

The NCRI representative office in Germany has received numerous reports from Iranian refugees regarding their difficult condition of residence and livelihood and their many exasperating relocations. This is while those opposing the religious fascism ruling Iran, which has a record of 120,000 political executions, merit the sacred right to asylum according to well-established international standards.

The worrisome reports of the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran, as well as the annual report of Amnesty International and other international human rights organizations, leave little doubt on the necessity of giving priority to Iranian refugees. These reports indicate an intensification of the systematic violation of human rights, particularly the unparalleled escalation of executions, during Rouhani’s presidency.
