Iranian regime threatens swift executions for Sunni prisoners

The Iranian regime has threatened death row Sunni political prisoners with immediate execution if they refuse to cooperate with its Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) agents.

MOIS agents in Gohardasht prison, in the city of Karaj, ordered Sunni prisoners to sign blank sheets of paper and told them they must suffer for events in Syria and other Sunni areas in the region.

Many of those being threatened are being held in the prison’s Ward 4, where they have been interrogated and pressured by a torturer named Mohammadi.

Among the Sunni are prisoners named as Mohammad Yavar Rahimi, Alam Barmashti, Varya Ghaderi-fard, Shahoo Ibrahimi, Bahman Rahimi, Vaya Amiry, Yasser Sharafipour, Amjad Salehi and Omid Payvand.

The threats to prisoners in Gohardasht prison come after similar interrogations carried out on Wednesday in notorious Evin Prison.
