Family members have been warned they must give no media interviews until after the election takes place in June.
As part of the clampdown, the father of murdered Ramin Ramezani – who was during the 2009 protests – has been summoned to Evin Prison on April 9, reports from inside Iran have revealed.
Families who lost loved ones in the violent 2009 protests have also been banned for holding any memorial ceremonies for the victims on the last Thursday of the year – when visits are traditionally made to the sites where they are buried.
However grieving families have been ignoring the order from the Ministry of Intelligence and Security and attending ceremonies in Tehran and other cities across the country.
