NCRI – Two men have been publicly lashed in Iran for offences of disturbing public order and mischief.

The pair named only as K.A. and M.M. were each given 40 lashes in Chamestan County, in Mazandaran province.

Public floggings have soared in Iran in recent months in a bid to spread fear amongst the country’s youth and suppress to prevent public expression of dissent.

The regime’s State Security Force lashed a young man 45 times in public on the back of a pick-up truck while his hands and feet were chained in early December.

The barbaric punishment was carried out in a village in Fars province, with a population of fewer than 700 inhabitants.

The number floggings across is Iran is much higher than officially announced.
