Iran: Sunnis forbidden to hold Eid prayers in Iran

 NCRI – The Iranian regime prevented Sunni minority from holding prayers on Eid al-Adhar (Feast of Sacrifice) and practicing its rituals even in house mosques. The Sunni minority was forbidden to hold rituals in mosque in the city; therefore, they had planned to do the prayers in house mosques on Wednesday, October 16.

Based on unofficial statistics, there are more than 1 million Sunni Muslims living in Tehran only and they are deprived of having a mosque and holding their rituals.

Prior to this, the Intelligence ministry agents also ordered Sunni preacher Mamousta Abdul-Ghfar to stop holding group prayers before shutting down and locking up his mosque in Alak Village on September 28.
