Iran: Seven Gonabadi Dervishes summoned to Shiraz Revolutionary Court

NCRI – Seven Gonabadi Dervishes have been summoned to the Revolutionary Court in Shiraz charged with threatening the security of the Iranian regime.

The group from the city of Kovar face accusations of ‘acting against national security’, ‘sowing dissent among the public’ and ‘carrying an illegal weapon’, a Dervishes website has reported.

The seven have been named as Kazem Dehghan, Yahya Dehghan, Mehrdad Keshavarz, Mehdi Dehghan, Ali Jan Dehghan, Hamid Arayesh and Amir Hamzeh Dehghan.

The charges were first issued in in the Revolutionary Court of Shiraz in June 2012, when they were released on 150 million Tomans bail.

They are among dozens of Dervishes arrested in Kovar during a clampdown by the Regime over the past six months, with many harassed at home and at work by plain clothes security agents.
