NCRI – A prisoner who was charged with murder at the age of 15, after 15 years of imprisonment is in a very dire physical and mental health in a hospital.

Mohammad Reza Haddadi, 30, who was imprisoned at age 15 and is under death sentence, was admitted to Namazi Hospital in Shiraz due to bowel surgery.

His lawyer, while confirming the news, said that his physical and mental condition is very serious. He has been hospitalized several times for several reasons, including kidney and digestive diseases, and has now undergone surgery.

Mohammad Reza’s father told Deutsche Welle that he was standing in front of Namazi Hospital (around noon on Tuesday, January 30), but the prison authorities did not allow him to visit his child at the hospital.

Mohammad Reza Haddadi was born on March 17, 1988 and when he was 15 years old, he was arrested on charges of robbery resulting in death in August 2003.

He first admitted to theft and murder in a preliminary investigation and in a court held on October 30, 2003, but then on November 7 of the same year he wrote to the court that he was not guilty and one of the defendants promised to pay him a large amount of money if he accepted the responsibility for the crime and that he would not be charged because of his young age. He wrote that he was deceived by another accused and had not play a role in committing the crime.
