Ten Dervishes were rounded up and taken away from the house in Vahid Street on Monday (June 24) whilst conducting a religious ceremony.
The religious activities of this group have been restricted for many years by the Iranian regime, forcing Dervishes to pray in secret.
Other suppressive measures on Dervishes have included a ban on holding meetings, attacking, torturing and arresting them, charging them with ‘disturbing national security’ and depriving them of prison visits and medical services
Raids on Dervish centres have also been previously carried out in cities including Tehran, Tehran, Shiraz, Isfahan.
