Iran: Regime threatens prisoners who want to join jail protests

NCRI – Political prisoners are being deprived of medical treatment and issued with daily threats in a bid to stop them joining protests at Iran’s notorious Evin prison.

An intelligence ministry agent known as ‘Abbasi’ is said to be taking inmates into a special room in the prison’s Ward 350 to intimidate them.

The prison’s doctor has also been ordered to issue only the most basic medicines to those who are ill, and avoid sending them to hospitals outside prison walls for tests and X-rays.

Several prisoners who have been subjected to harsh treatment have been named as Asghar Qattan, Mohammad Sameii, Ali Moezzi, Gholamreza Khosravi, Assadollah Hadi and Ahmad Daneshpour Moqqadam.
