NCRI – Despite widespread condemnations of human rights violations and growing number of executions in Iran, state-run media are reporting more executions to come.

According to Qods daily, September 1, the clerical regime’s judiciary sentenced four prisoners to death in Mashhad, Khorasan Province, northeast Iran. Three of them are identified by their first names, Ashkan, Ahmad and Amir.

The daily also reported that a young woman was sentenced to death in Tehran by the name of Zahra.

The new wave of executions in Iran is aimed at creating a reign of terror in the country to contain widespread protests against the regime.

During a public hanging near Tehran yesterday, people showed their anger against the criminal act by abusing the suppressive agents. Hundreds of anti-riot and State Security Forces were dispatched to the area to control the situation. In his final statement before hanging, Amir Hossein Rouhafza, 20, stressed that he did not regret eliminating a corrupt judge and he would do the same if he were to go back. The local residents were in tears when the young man was hanged and spoke about the deceased judge’s cruel and unjust practices. Three people have been hanged in public in just over a month for killing the clerical regime’s judges.
