Iran: Political prisoners tortured by denying them health care

NCRI – The Iranian regime continues torturing political prisoners by denying them medical care and family visits. In addition, in order to exert mental torture on political prisoners, the regime has transferred some political prisoners to wards of ordinary prisoners, according to information received from prisons.

 
Tehran’s Evin prison:
The political prisoner, Ahmad Daneshpour Moghadam, is in a poor health condition and has acute colonic disease and colon bleeding. Despite his critical condition, the head of prison prevent his hospitalization because he refused to wear prison cloths to go for treatment.

Semnan prison:
The political prisoner, Mohammad Asghar Mohammadian is ill but in order to torture him, head of the prison put him in the ward of ordinary and drug addict prisoners. He is not from Semnan and is exiled to this prison.

Bandar-Abbas prison:
The political prisoner, Mohammad Reza Hosseini has been denied visiting his family. He is exiled to Bandar-Abbas and the Iranian regime does not allow his family to go there to visit him.

Tehran’s Evin prison:
The prison authorities do not allow political prisoner, Ali Moezi, visit his family. He is suffering from bladder cancer but for the second time he was denied hospitalization.

The prison authorities bluntly said that they use these restrictions to torture prisoners. They have told a political prisoner who is sentenced to death: “Do you think by receiving death penalty you will die easily. No, we make you wish every day to die in prison.”
