Iran: Political prisoners in Oroumieh launch hunger strike

NCRI – Four political prisoners in the northwestern city of Oroumieh have launched a hunger strike after they were transferred to solitary confinement, according to Harana news agency on Saturday.

The four are Habibollah Golparipour, Hossein Mirzai, Ali-Ahmad Soleiman, and Ahmad Tamoui.

They decided to go on hunger strike on January 5 after being transferred by the regime’s agents to solitary confinement at the Oroumieh prison.

Regime agents took the decision after the political prisoners protested the sudden transfer of Hossein Khezri, another political prisoner, to an unknown location. Mr. Khezri is on death row.
