NCRI- As the June sham presidential election nears, oppression is mounting on students around Iran suspected of holding critical views of the regime.
Daneshjoo news reported that 54 masters’ degree students across the country have been illegally tagged with stars – which symbolically prevent them from continuing with their education.
These students were summoned to their university’s disciplinary committee and handed letters informing them that they had never been enrolled in a university.
This politically illegal measure – which can only be carried out under the authority of the Science Ministry – is used as a means of punishing students for participating in political protests.
