Iran: Mullahs’ police crackdown on shop owners in Tehran

NCRI – On Wednesday, a group of shopkeepers gathered outside their properties to protest the demolition plan by mullahs' municipal authorities in Damavand Street, east of the capital, according to the semi-official news agency Fars. The plan was executed without paying any attention to local shopkeepers' demands. The shops were the only source of their income.

The gathering lasted for three hours before it was violently broken up by the mullahs' State Security Forces (SSF) –mullahs' suppressive police. The crackdown left some shopkeepers wounded and a number of others were arrested and taken away by the SSF agents.

The participants shouted anti-government slogans such as: "We don't want the oil money on hour tables," and "Ahmadinejad give back our votes."
