Iran: mullahs cover their tracks in Lotfollahi’s death

NCRI – The local office of the mullahs’ Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) was caught red-handed in a new conspiracy leading to death of Ibrahim Lotfollahi, a sophomore student in Payam-e Noor University in Kurdistan.

The young man mysteriously died while in custody of the State Security Forces (SSF) in northern Kurdish city of Sanandaj on January 17. The SSF, acting on the order of the MOIS, buried the young man without informing his parents.

His family sensing the MOIS dirty hands behind the murder, went to court acquire a permission to exhume the freshly made grave, said Saleh Nikbakht, the Lotfollahi’s family lawyer.

"Much to our surprise the local office of MOIS in Sanandaj filed a counter-complaint asking the same court not to allow the requested move by the family," the attorney added.

The judge in his order went as far as blaming the young man’s father and brother for over stepping their rights as family members to the victim when they did not accept the explanation offered by the MOIS local office as the cause of their loved one’s death.

The local authorities had declared that the young student had committed suicide while in custody.
