English translation of Mrs. Yadi’s letter:

In the Name of God

The appeal of the tormented mother of Gholamreza Khosravi Savadjani for saving the life of her innocent son from the unjust death sentence

I am Beygom Yadi, a 70-yaer-old agonized mother, whose son Gholamreza Khosravi-Savadjani is now accused of moharebeh and sentenced to death as a result of unjust manufactured charges.

I ask them: “what does moharebeh mean?” They say that means taking up arms to fight against God and to kill people. But my son has neither taken up arms, nor has he killed anyone. He wouldn’t hurt a fly. I appeal to all you fine and kind human beings everywhere in the world, to help this suffered mother in saving the life on my son that I raised with great pain and suffering all my life.

My husband passed away five years ago and the only hope that keeps me alive is Gholamreza who has been a political prisoner for the last 4 years. Help me so that they will not take away my innocent son and so that they will release him. He hasn’t killed anyone and hasn’t taken up arms. He has only been concerned for the well-being of you people and therefore been sentenced to death. So please help me and help him.

Beygom Yadi Jamalouee

PS, His case was in branch #26 of the revolutionary court and Mr. Pir-Abbassi sentenced him to death twice and at the branch #31 of the superior revolutionary court Mr. Jafari confirmed it.
