Iran: More than 800 workers at Ashkan China factory are on strike

ashkan-china-factory150NCRI – More than 800 workers walked out over unpaid salaries and benefits at Ashkan China factory in Tehran on Wednesday.

Mullahs' hand picked management has refused to look into the workers' demands regarding their unpaid salaries for past few months.

In past few days, hundreds of workers walked out in various factories and workshops as well as other jobs such as air force hospital sanitation workers, nurses in Sadouqi hospital of central city of Yazd, Kiyan-tire in Tehran, taxi drivers in the northeastern city of Mashhad and southern city of Abadeh.

In the past year, it has been the workers who are facing pay cuts by the hand picked managements in the usually privatized factories. However, it is rapidly catching up with the other sectors of the Iranian work force.

Over past year thousands of workers went on strike over unpaid salaries in major Iranian factories such as Sugar Cane factory in the southern city of Shoosh, Iran Khodro and Kiyan-tire in suburban Tehran.
