Omid Karimian criticized the government of Hassan Rouhani on Tuesday (December 24) in a speech in the Parliament.
Quoted by the Khaneh Mellat website which publishes information on the Parliament, Karimian addressed Rouhani and said: “So far, our share from your social justice has been the killing of Kurdish citizens.”
“For what crime they were killed? ” he angrily asked.
Before the June election, in a statement addressing Kurds and other ethnic minorities, Hassan Rouhani promised that provincial officials would be selected among local citizens and people can study in their own language at schools. But the Kurdish MP stated that none of these commitments have been met.
In recent months many Kurdish citizens were killed by the Iranian regime’s State Security Forces. The latest victim , Ariane Osmani , 18, was killed in December in the city of Baneh.
