Iran: Karaj residnets clash with security forces confiscating satellite dishes

NCRI – The residents in Gloshahr district of the city of Karaj (20 kilometers west of Tehran) clashed with the Iranian regime’s State Security Forces on Tuesday as they raided houses to collect satellite dishes.

The residents tried to prevent the forces from removing their satellites dishes resulted to clashes between people and the forces during which several arrested.

Prior to this, security forces had also raided houses in cities of Shiraz, Bandar Abbas, Bam, Yazd, and Minab confiscating satellite dishes.

This is while, Hassan Rouhani – speaking in New York at Council on Foreign Relations on September 26 – had claimed that “in Iran everyone has easy access to satellite networks, and you can even see dishes on rooftops in every village.”
