"Their death sentence was implemented early this morning," the web site quoted Saeed Mortazi, Tehran’s chief prosecutor, as saying.

The report did not provide the names or nationalities of those executed.

On Saturday Iran had publicly hanged a man in the western city of Khoramabad, and another in the southeastern town of Zabol.

In the first case, an unnamed man was put to death on Thursday morning, the state-run Etemad newspaper reported.

In the second, who was identified as Naeem M., was hanged on Saturday in Sistan-Baluchestan province, the ISNA news agency said.
