Iran: Four hanged in Shiraz, including a woman

NCRI – A woman and three men have been hanged in the southern Iranian city of Shiraz, a state-run daily Etemad reported on Saturday.

The report identified the woman only by her first name Afsaneh. The other prisoners hanged were an Afghan man and an two Iranian man.

The hangings surpassed 190, the number of people executed in Iran since the beginning of 2009, indicating a 70 percent rise compared to the same period last year. Iran under the mullahs currently ranks first for per capita executions in the world. It also ranks first in hanging juveniles.
