Iran continues detention of arrested demonstrators

NCRI – Detainees of last month unrests in Miandoab, Tabriz and Zanjan are still in jail. In Miandoab, the security forces arrested Mehdi Tagargi and transferred him to an undisclosed location.
Last May the cities of Miandoab, Zanjan and Tabriz witnessed unrests as a result of an insulting caricature published in a State-owned paper last year.
Similar protests took place this May. Even before the unrest began, the Iranian regime started arresting people, and nobody knows what happened to them since.

Names of some of the detainees in Miandoab are as follows:
Behnood Gholizadeh, Jalal Kodrilou, Shahin Hassani, Morteza Lek, Mohsen Faramarzi, Shahrokh Faramarzi, Darioush Andalibi, Ali Soltani, Amir Aghazadeh, Amir Saghafi, Einollah Ahangari, Maghsoud Fathi, Mostafa Dolatkhah and Vali Zahrabi.

Some of the detainees in Azarbaijan are: Fereidoun Mehdipour, Hossein Hosseinzadeh, Saeed Nasiri, Mehdi Hajmohammadi, Akbar Pashaei, Vahid Bahadori, Touhid Soltani, Mahnaz Mohammadzadeh, Vahid Nassiri, Darioush Emamizadeh, Behnam Nourmohammadi, Mansour Elyari, Sassan Keivani, Jafar karimi and Mousa Parizad.

In Zanjan, nobody has heard from the reporters Saeed Matinpour and Jalil Ghanilou. In Tabriz, Hossein Nassiri and Nourollah Hosseinian were arrested a few weeks before last month’s unrest.
