Iran: Clashes between local residents and SSF agents in Tehran

NCRI – On Saturday, a teenage girl’s resisting arrest by the State Security Forces (SSF) turned into a full scale clash between the local residents and units of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) dispatched to the scene to quall the angry citizens in Sadeqeh Square west of the capital Tehran.

In imposing the so-called "boosting public security" the SSF agents tried to force the teen to board a police van. However with the help of a few male onlookers the teen got away.

The shop owners and local residents clashed with freshly arrived reinforcements of the IRGC and SSF agents.

At least 15 people were arrested by the SSF and the area was sealed off well into the early evening hours.

The so-called "public security" plan this year sparked an unprecedented crackdown by the SSF on the Iranian society. Hundreds of thousands of ordinary citizens were affected by street arrests, arbitrary detentions, and more than 300 executions just to name a few.
