Iran: Arms of five prisoners cut off

NCRI – Arms of five prisoners were cut off in Hamedan prison on Thursday, July 22, according to semi-official state-run news agency ILNA.

Quoting the regime’s judicial official Akbar Biglari the news agency said that the average age of the five prisoners was over 25 and they had allegedly committed “major robbery.”

Biglari said there were 14 criteria that had to be met before the amputation is carried out and added that when “someone’s hand gets used to robbery and causes harm to people it must be cut short.”

He also said that the amputation is usually carried out on a thief who had committed more than 100 instances of theft.
