Iran: Activist teacher sentenced to one year prison

NCRI- Ali Akbar Baghani, the secretary general of the Iranian Teachers Union sentenced to one year of imprisonment and ten years of exile. He was accused of propaganda against the regime in Iran.
The union has been advocating for the basic rights of its members that have been systematically denied by the mullahs in Iran.

Mr. Baghani was once more arrested about 2 years ago and sentenced to two month in prison. About 6 years ago, as he was arrested in school while supervising an exam session.
 
Other members of the union have been harassed and imprisoned for voicing their concerns about their friends. About a year ago, Mahmoud bagheri, a board member of the Teachers Union was arrested. He was sentenced to nine and half years.
