Iran: A villager murder by the IRGC over land dispute

NCRI- On Thursday, a villager Nor-Aldin Dargahi was murdered by the members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) over a land dispute as old as 10 years in an area northeast of the country by the Aras River near the Azerbaijan border with Iran, reported the Resistance sources in Iran.

For the past decade, the IRGC has occasionally tried to take over the prolific land sprawling in 200 acres south of the Aras River. IRGC, according to locals is interested in the land since it is trying to grow rice and pocket the profits. However, the villagers owning the land have each time fight for their property and often IRGC agents murdered or arrested them.

On Friday, again the IRGC attacked the villagers killing Nor-Aldin Dargahi a young man and wounded Babak Moradi.

According to eyewitnesses, the IRGC agents fired into the crowd indiscriminately.

Aside from the two serious casualties, men, women and children were not spared from the IRGC's wrath and some received minor injuries later treated in the local hospital.
