NCRI-State Security Forces (SSF) has detained twenty-eight local residents in a raid on a family party in northeastern city of Shahrud, the official news agency IRNA reported on Monday.
The SSF commander in Shahrud, Colonel Farajollah Vafadar said, "The police arrested eighteen girls and ten boys with inappropriate and repulsive clothing in the house" in a party, IRNA added.
The SSF commander added that the raid in Shahrud took place on Friday. "Among those arrested were ten housewives, four students and four pupils", Vafadar told IRNA.
Since last April thousands of women and youth have been arrested by the SSF suppressive forces on the pretext of mal-veiling and combating "thugs and hooligans" in Iran.
