Former CIA Director says Iranian regime should be criticized not accommodated

NCRI – In an interview aired on CNN on Thursday, former CIA Director James Woolsey said, “We have tacked so much toward accommodating verbally, and not criticizing at all, not only Egypt and Bahrain, but Iran.”

He added the US should “not necessarily siding directly with the protesters — don’t want to look like you’re controlling them — but certainly criticizing” the regimes.

He also mentioned abhorrent human rights abuses committed by the regime against protestors, pointing out rape of female activists before execution.

“That’s about as hideous as you can get. We never say a word about these sorts of things,” he said according to a transcript on CNN’s website.
