Arrests in the northwestern city of Maragheh

NCRI – On  Apri 10, 2007  the northwestern city of Maragheh witnessed a heavy State Security Forces (SSF) presence in the area. The forces’ units were present in the main city streets, according to the Resistance sources in Iran. The local office for the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) arrested two students for distributing anti-government leaflets.

The students were later subject to torture by the MOIS agents. Also, many of other student activists were summoned to the MOIS local office for questioning.
