The man was charged for an alleged murder which took place back in June 2005 in the city of Bam.

There has been a sharp deterioration of human rights situation in Iran since Ahmadinejad was appointed as the mullahs’ president back in summer of 2005. The high number of executions and lack of proper judicial process in Iran has been condemned by international human rights bodies, the European Parliament and the U.S.
According to the Iranian Resistance, in the last Iranian year (March 2005 to March 2006) 182 prisoners were executed and 123 execution sentences were handed down.
