IRAN: Ten Prisoners Hanged on Sunday

NCRI - This morning, Sunday, December 11, Iran regime collectively hanged 10 prisoners in western Tehran, Gohardasht prison.
Victims were transferred to solitary confinement yesterday.

NCRI - Four members of her family, three brothers and one sister, were executed for supporting the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK) and she only received a few bags containing their belongings. Her sister and one of her brothers were executed during the 1988 massacre of 30,000 political prisoners in Iran and now Maryam Akbari Monfared has filed official complaint from the prison and asked Tehran prosecutor's office to investigate the death of his brother and sister who were executed in the summer of 1988 while serving their prison sentences.

Belgium’s lawmakers call attention to human rights abuses in Iran

NCRI – The Belgian Committee of Parliamentarians and Mayors for a Democratic Iran has called attention to the violation of human rights in Iran by the mullahs’ regime. In a statement on Tuesday, the group also declared its solidarity with the major “Free Iran” rally that was held by supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK) in Paris on July 9. Rally planned in Paris against trip by Iran regime’s FM

NCRI - Iranians living in Paris are planning a rally on Wednesday, June 22 simultaneous with the trip to France by the Iranian regime’s Foreign Minister Javad Zarif. They will protest against the widespread and arbitrary executions in Iran and against the mullahs’ continued interference in Syria.

Despite the world powers’ nuclear deal with the Iranian regime, Hassan Rohani's government continues to torture and hang prisoners. Iran remains the number one state executioner per capita.

Iranians rally in Sweden to denounce Javad Zarif’s presence

NCRI - Supporters of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK) held a rally on Wednesday outside the Swedish Parliament in Stockholm condemning the presence of the Iranian regime's foreign minister Javad Zarif.

The supporters of the NCRI and PMOI (MEK) called on the government of Sweden to precondition any improvement of political or economic relations with the mullahs’ regime to an improvement in human rights in Iran and in particular a halt to executions.

Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi's trip to Iran on Tuesday is out of sync with the recent protests that have erupted against the Iranian regime and its president Hassan Rouhani during his trips to Europe, British lawmaker David Amess wrote in the Huffington Post on Tuesday.

Italian dignitaries warn of dangers of ties to Iran regime

NCRI - Prominent Italian politicians and human rights personalities on Monday held a conference in Rome criticizing Italy's Prime Minister Matteo Renzi for his trip this week to Iran.

The Italian dignitaries pressed Mr. Renzi to focus on the appalling human rights situation in Iran instead of seeking trade deals with the mullahs' regime.

Mr. Renzi travelled to Tehran on Tuesday.

NCRI calls on Italian PM to cancel trip to Iran - The National

The Iranian Resistance has called on Italy's prime minister to cancel a visit to Iran next week amid fears it will be used by Tehran to legitimize human rights violations in the country, Scotland's The National reported on Friday. 

"Iran has an economy worth $400 billion (£283.8bn) and European countries are keen to re-establish trade ties," the paper wrote.

UK, Euro MPs call attention to Iran human rights abuses

NCRI - In a webinar hosted by on Thursday, April 7, British and European lawmakers discussed the appalling human rights situation in Iran and Tehran's increasingly destabilizing role in the region.

The conference was moderated by Ms. Dowlat Nowrouzi, the UK Representative of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). The guests were Lord Carlile of Berriew QC CBE from the United Kingdom’s House of Lords, Mr. Steve McCabe MP from the UK House of Commons and Mr. Egidijus Vareikis, a Member of the Lithuanian Parliament.
