Iran: Execution and chopping fingers on charge of robbery

ncri-statement-400

The henchmen of the antihuman clerical regime publicly hanged a young man in Kermanshah on May 8 on the charge of armed robbery and the following day amputated the fingers of a 39-year-old prisoner in Mashhad on the charge of robbery. Mojtaba Maleki, the regime’s general prosecutor in Kermanshah said on that day: “The judiciary apparatus, enforcers and the security forces are resolute in creating a secure environment and have zero tolerance toward criminals” (Tasnim News Agency affiliated with the Qods Force).

These cruel punishments are solely to ratchet up the climate of terror in the society and to rein in increasing protests by the Iranian people. In a meeting with the security forces on May 8, the regime’s supreme leader Khamenei called “security” a “top priority” and under the pretext of “providing social and moral security” emphasized on ramping up repression. He said: “The scope of the security forces’ presence throughout the country and the establishment of security in all regions and environments where people reside, including the suburbs, remote areas, and small towns” should be expanded.

The Iranian regime, dubbed the Godfather of Daesh by the Iranian people, is victimizing Iranian youths on the charge of robbery while mythical wealth and billion dollar embezzlements by the regime’s leaders and officials have devastated Iran’s economy and driven its people and youths into poverty and unemployment. The majority of the Iranian people are living under the poverty line and the hungry masses are even unable to provide for their most basic needs and that of their families. According to the regime officials, 70% of the people in the cities and villages of Iran are under the poverty line, and the minimum wage of laborers is several fold under the poverty line announced by the regime itself.

The country’s youths, that are themselves the victims of astronomical plunders and the tyranny of the mullahs, are executed and their fingers are cut off while regime’s speaker of the parliament Ali Larijani stipulates: “Currently, around $20 billion smuggled goods enter the country and no factory is able to compete with that. Smuggling is hurting production and standards.”

At the helm of smuggling are none other than Khamenei and the absolutely corrupt and criminal institutions associated with him, the Revolutionary Guards, and other leaders of this regime.
