Last Italian bank severs ties with mullahs

NCRI – The last Italian bank has cut ties with the Iranian regime, trading sources were reported as saying on Monday.

According to Reuters, Intesa SanPaolo has suspended financing oil trading deals with the Iranian regime. “A tightening of international sanctions against Iran has complicated financing of any deals involving buying Iranian crude or selling refined oil products” to the Iranian regime, the news agency reported.

The Italian bank has stopped dealing with the regime since last month and “it is getting more and more difficult” for the mullahs to finance their transactions, a trading source told Reuters.

According to energy sector sources, in view of growing international pressure, oil transactions with the regime will decline considerably in the coming year.
